Well, here we go...
Briana has been telling me I need to do this for some time, and well, finally I have.
October 31st I delivered my second child, Katie Alexis. 7lbs 12.6oz and 20.25" long. She was born at 10:38am. She joined big brother Wyatt Hawley.
He started out being very proud. Now we are experiencing the "jealous" stage. Except the other day while I was picking him up at daycare a little boy was checking out his sister and he started screaming "hey that is my baby, leave her alone!" So I know he really loves her even if all he wants to do right now is hurt her. This week i have had to watch very closely. He like to pry her eyes open and I caught him jumping from the couch and landing on her! Talk about a heart attack!
When we first brought Katie home she developed Jaundice and had to have a Bili Blanket attached to her. What said it made her glow. I said she looked like one of those glow worms because we kept her in the sleeping gowns in order to accommodate the machine. It had a big tube that connected to the machine and to her. Anyway, one evening Jimmy was running the dishwasher (also new!) and the clothes dryer and we had Katie's machine on ( 24/7) and it tripped a breaker. Wyatt had been in bed for about a half hour at this time. When the breaker went we lost lights and from Wyatt's room we heard him yell "Katie's done!" We had a good chuckle!
On November 18th Briana came over to take pictures of Katie! They turned out wonderful! I "stole" a few from her blog. Sorry, could not wait for the cd Bree, hope you do not mind!
We went to Jimmy's Aunt Amy's for Thanksgiving. Nothing special, the usual holiday with the family...
We have been working on getting the upstairs done for nearly a year and a half! Now Jimmy has it so close. He hopes to have us all upstairs by Christmas... That will be a wonderful gift.
Until next time.
Maybe then I can try to get a picture or two to post. For some reason it did not like me!
